Calzaturificio Taccetti joins Gruppo Florence

Calzaturificio Taccetti, a family-owned manufacturer of women’s luxury formal footwear, founded in 1954 and based in Montelupo Fiorentino, Tuscany, is joining Gruppo Florence, the first integrated production hub for the Fashion & Luxury sector. Gruppo Florence is chaired by former Bulgari CEO Francesco Trapani and controlled by Vam Investments, Fondo Italiano d’Investimento and Italmobiliare. It brings together 20 leading companies in highly specialised machining for the world’s most prestigious luxury brands.
Building on a manufacturing tradition with roots dating back as far as 1880, Taccetti, until now run by brothers Carlo and Giovanni, is one of the best-known and most respected companies in its sector. Since its inception, the company has successfully combined craftsmanship and technological innovation through the skilled hands of its 270 employees. With a production capacity of 2,000 pairs of shoes per day and 410,000 per year, plus another 150,000 pairs due with the opening of a new fifth factory, Taccetti is one of the biggest manufacturing companies to join Gruppo Florence.
By joining Gruppo Florence, Stefano and Francesca, the fourth generation of the family, will take the reins of the company as Managing Directors, continuing its centuries-old tradition of expertise and reliability. Like the other entrepreneurial families who have joined Gruppo Florence, the Taccetti family has reinvested in a minority stake in the Group.
