EGM Group and KME Italy launch ILNOR project in the business of copper and copper alloy rolled products

Milan, 24/06/2021 – EGM Group (Eredi Gnutti Metalli) is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of brass bars and strips in copper and its alloys, from brass to bronze and special alloys. The Group, based in Brescia, is a reliable partner with over 150 years’ experience in metallurgy, which is reflected today in its ability to serve its target markets in a timely manner, acting as a high-level global partner, guaranteeing reliability and shared solutions.

KME Italy is part of the KME Group, which in turn is controlled by Intek Group, a holding company with shares listed on the Italian stock exchange. With its 8 production plants in Europe, China and the USA, the KME Group has been active in the production of semi-finished copper and copper alloy products for over 130 years.

EGM Group and KME Italy have announced the launch of a strategic project that, by leveraging the specific assets of the two groups, focuses on the re-launch of the copper and copper alloy rolled products business, and which in the near future will enable them to accelerate a process of rapprochement with the industrial sectors primarily affected by technological development processes.

EGM transferred €21.8 million to the newly formed ILNOR for the copper, brass, bronze and special alloys rolling business unit, with all the assets organised for its operation, as well as all related activities and structures.
